Shipping Policy

1. Where we deliver

We deliver in Bangalore today. Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Jaipur are on the roadmap, in roughly that order, and we open a city only once we can get cold, undamaged cans to a door there reliably.

We do not ship outside India, and we do not currently ship to states we have not listed. If you order to an address we cannot serve, we will contact you and refund in full rather than let it sit.

2. What delivery costs

A flat ₹29 per order across Bangalore. There is no free-delivery threshold and no surge on the fee — the number you see is the number you pay, at one can or ten.

Payment is taken at checkout. We do not offer cash on delivery — a case of beer that comes back undelivered cannot be restocked, so we would rather keep the price down than carry that loss.

3. Pre-orders and when we dispatch

The first batch is still brewing, so orders placed now are pre-orders: you pay at checkout and we ship when the batch is released. We will email your delivery window before anything moves, and again on the day it goes out.

Beer is not a product you want rushed out of the brewery early. If the batch needs another week in tank, it gets another week, and we will tell you rather than ship it. If a delay is not acceptable to you, cancel any time before dispatch for a full refund.

4. When it arrives

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery, so please look at the box before you sign for it. Cans travel well but the world is bumpy.

If anything is damaged, leaking, short, wrong or past date, photograph it and send it to hello@getsoma.store within 48 hours with your order number. That is the whole process — we do not ask you to ship a broken can back.

5. Failed deliveries

If nobody is available, our delivery partner will attempt to reach you on the number on the order. Give us a second address or a neighbour if that helps. An order that cannot be delivered after reasonable attempts comes back to us, and we will refund it less the delivery fee already incurred.

Please make sure the phone number on the order is one you will actually answer on the day. It is the single most common reason a delivery fails.

6. Age

SOMA is under 0.5% ABV and is a food product, not liquor. We still sell it as an adult drink and we do not knowingly sell to anyone under 18. Orders that we reasonably believe are for a minor are cancelled and refunded.
