The Classic Shandy

The original beer cocktail, zero-proofed. Bright, salty-sweet, and dangerously drinkable on a hot afternoon.

Ingredients

  • 200ml SOMA Lager, cold
  • 100ml fresh lime soda (sweet)
  • Pinch of black salt
  • Lime wedge

Method

Fill a chilled glass two-thirds with SOMA Lager, top with lime soda, add the black salt, and stir once. Garnish with the lime wedge.

Ginger Snap Shandy

Spicy ginger ale meets crisp blonde ale. The one to serve with fried snacks.

Ingredients

  • 200ml SOMA Lager, cold
  • 100ml spicy ginger ale
  • 2-3 thin slices fresh ginger
  • Mint sprig

Method

Muddle the ginger slices gently in the glass, pour in SOMA Lager, top with ginger ale. Garnish with mint.

Mango Monsoon

Belgian Wit meets fresh mango and chaat masala. Peak Indian summer in a glass.

Ingredients

  • 250ml SOMA Belgian Wit, cold
  • 60ml fresh mango puree
  • Pinch of chaat masala
  • Chilli salt rim (optional)

Method

Rim the glass with chilli salt if using. Spoon mango puree into the glass, pour SOMA Belgian Wit slowly over it, dust with chaat masala. Stir at the table.

The Beer-mosa

The mimosa's cooler cousin. Hazy IPA's tropical hops were made for fresh orange juice.

Ingredients

  • 150ml SOMA IPA, cold
  • 100ml fresh orange juice, chilled
  • Orange twist

Method

Pour the orange juice into a stemmed glass, then slowly add SOMA IPA down the side. Do not stir — let them meet on their own. Garnish with the twist.

Sunrise Michelada

Savory, citrusy, and gently spicy. The brunch drink for people who think brunch drinks are too sweet.

Ingredients

  • 300ml SOMA Lager, cold
  • 60ml tomato juice
  • 15ml fresh lime juice
  • 2 dashes hot sauce
  • Pinch of roasted cumin powder
  • Chilli-salt rim

Method

Rim a tall glass with chilli salt. Combine tomato juice, lime, hot sauce, and cumin in the glass, add ice, and top with SOMA Lager. Stir gently.

Affogato Stout Float

One scoop of vanilla ice cream, drowned in roasty stout. Dessert and after-dinner drink in one glass.

Ingredients

  • 250ml SOMA Stout, cold
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • Shot of espresso (optional)
  • Grated dark chocolate

Method

Scoop the ice cream into a wide glass, pour the espresso over it if using, then slowly add SOMA Stout. Finish with grated chocolate. Serve with a spoon.
