One ask before you write
SOMA is non-alcoholic (<0.5% ABV) — under FSSAI rules, a non-alcoholic counterpartof beer. Please don't describe it as “alcohol-free” or “zero alcohol”: that's not the legal category, and it's not our claim. The only zero we promise is hangovers.

THE SHORT ONESOMA is India's non-alcoholic craft brewery. Based in Bangalore, SOMA brews full-strength craft beer — malt, hops, yeast — then removes the alcohol by vacuum distillation to under 0.5% ABV. Four styles (lager, hazy IPA, Belgian wit, stout), ₹199 per 500ml can. Brewed Bold. No Hangovers.

THE STANDARD ONESOMA is India's non-alcoholic craft brewery. Founded in Bangalore by Abhinav Ramesh, SOMA brews real craft beer full-strength — malted barley, imported hops, a proprietary yeast strain — then gently removes the alcohol by vacuum distillation until it's under 0.5% ABV, the FSSAI threshold for a non-alcoholic beverage. The result is beer with everything intact except the hangover. SOMA launches with four styles — Sundowner (crisp lager), Juice Riot (hazy IPA), Sunday Wit (Belgian wit), and Dark Arts (stout) — at ₹199 per 500ml can, with 63–99 calories per can depending on style. First batch: Bangalore, September 2026.

Hazy wheat, orange peel, coriander. Sunshine in a can.
Coffee, cocoa, velvet. Dark beer depth without the alcohol.
Founder Bio
Abhinav Rameshis the founder of SOMA Brewing Company, Bangalore. The origin story is personal and simple: he kept being the person at the table who wasn't drinking, and kept being handed a fresh lime soda — the fourth one broke him. He started SOMA in 2024 as a premium sparkling-water brand, noticed customers using it as the drink you hold when you're not drinking, and in 2026 rebuilt the company into India's first non-alcoholic craft brewery.
He builds SOMA in public — the brewing, the compliance maze, the launch — and is available for interviews at hello@getsoma.store.
